On Wednesday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers released their livestock to graze on Palestinian agricultural fields in Masafer Yatta and Um al-Kheir, south of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.

Rateb Jabour, coordinator of the National and Popular Committees Against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in southern Hebron, stated that the colonizers released their livestock onto land planted with olive and almond trees belonging to Palestinian farmer Ahmad Ismail Abu Arram in the Halawa area of Masafer Yatta.

Meanwhile, Osama Makhamra, an activist in Masafer Yatta, reported that the colonizers, accompanied by Israeli occupation forces, also released their livestock near Palestinian homes in the village of Umm al-Kheir.

Makhamra added that Israeli soldiers abducted Palestinian resident Ahmad al-Hathalin from Umm al-Kheir after detaining and interrogating several other local Palestinians.

About two weeks days ago, in the Ein Al-Hilwa area, in the Northern Plains, the colonizers burned residential tents, stole livestock, and attacked Bedouin families. These actions have caused significant harm to the livelihoods of the affected communities.

In the Arab Al-Mleihat Bedouin community, northwest of Jericho, colonizers carried out various violations, include incidents of property destruction, such as burning agricultural lands and demolishing residential structures.

Last Saturday, the paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian communities in Hebron, Jericho, and Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, causing several injuries.

Last Friday evening, Israeli soldiers invaded Sinjil town, north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and seriously injured a young man as Palestinians were fending off an attack by a group of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers who also burned an entire Palestinian farm.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power [Israel] shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies [Palestine].” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
