On Wednesday, a group of fanatic illegal Israeli colonizers assaulted a Palestinian man near Ramallah in the central West Bank, causing serious wounds to his face, including his jaw, left cheek, and eye socket.

The Palestinian, Arafat Tahhan from occupied Jerusalem, was heading to his land in Turmus Ayya town, north of Ramallah, in the central West Bank, when the colonizes ambushed his car.

He was with his children when what appears to be a preplanned attack occurred after he was ambushed and trapped, unable to drive away.

“The colonizers started throwing stones at us; they threw stones at me and my new car, causing damage and wounding me in the eye,” Arafat told WAFA News Agency, “My children, 7, 9, and 14 years of age, suffered severe anxiety attacks.”

“I was heading to my land after hiring a contractor and two of his workers to bulldoze and clean sections of my land to prepare them for planting,” the Palestinian added, “At approximately 9 in the morning, we saw the colonizers coming down from the mountain and rushing towards us before they started throwing stones at us. We tried to turn around and drive away, but they already closed the road with rocks; we were trapped, we had no way to go, and the colonizers started assaulting us.”

“The colonizers also chased the contractor and assaulted him, in addition to burning his car. They also assaulted another Palestinian causing him to fall down an altitude of about six meters,” Arafat stated, “I suffered a skull fracture, an upper jaw fracture, a fracture to my eye socket, and my nose, and I will be undergoing surgery Thursday. The doctors want to install implants on the left side of my face.”

“We contacted the District Coordination Office and the Israeli police, but they didn’t send anybody to the area under their control. Imagine if we did this to an Israeli colonizer or a soldier. Do you think that would be the end of the story! Arafat concluded, “The army would invade the entire area, break into homes, and abduct dozens of Palestinians, and as they usually do, they would also demolish the homes of Palestinians they believe are responsible for the attack. However, because we are Palestinians, the army won’t do a thing to those colonizers who attack and hurt us; our lives do not matter to them.”
