An Israeli drone strike killed a young Palestinian man and injured another, on Sunday, in the town of Silat al-Harithiya, northwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

Media sources said the army assassinated the young man, Laith Marwan Shawahna, 18, and injured another, on Sunday night, after targeting them with a missile fired from a drone in the town of Silat al-Harithiya, northwest of Jenin.

Ahmad Jibril, the director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Ambulance and Emergency Services in Nablus, told WAFA that their ambulance crews transported the body of a slain young man and an injured young man to the Al-Hadaf Medical Center in the nearby town of Al-Yamoun.

Meanwhile, around the same time, Israeli forces invaded the town of Silat al-Harithiya with several military vehicles, sparking protests.

Armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading army who conducted a search operation, storming the home of the slain young man, Raafat Dawa.

Israeli forces have killed 30 citizens in the past 5 days, including 18 in the Jenin governorate, 4 in Tulkarem, 1 in Qalqilia, 4 in Tubas, and 3 in Hebron, bringing the death toll in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 681.
