On Sunday, Israeli forces killed three Palestinian policemen and injured another east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, while another citizen succumbed to previous injuries.

The Interior Ministry in Gaza announced on Sunday morning that three Palestinian policemen were killed and a fourth was seriously wounded, when an armed Israeli drone bombed a gathering of citizens east of Rafah.

The Ma’an News Agency reported that the slain policemen were deployed to secure aid in the Al-Shawka area east of Rafah when they were executed by the drone-strike.

It added that the citizen, Hani Awwad Abu Halawa (ash-Sha’er), succumbed to serious wounds he sustained in an Israeli bombardment two days ago east of Rafah.

Local sources identified the three slain policemen as Yousef al-Eid, Ibrahim al-Eid, and Bilal al-Maghari.

The Interior Ministry called on the international community to pressure the Israeli authorities to refrain from targeting police personnel, defining Gaza policemen as “members of a civilian apparatus that provides services to protect the security of civilians and organize their daily affairs.”

For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, said in a statement that “the treacherous bombing carried out by an occupation drone on Sunday morning east of the city of Rafah, which targeted police officers tasked with securing the entry of aid, resulting in the martyrdom of three of them, is a serious violation of the ceasefire agreement.”

The Quds News Network reported that a young Palestinian girl was shot when occupation forces opened fire with live ammunition, east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources stated that over the past 24 hours, the bodies of 6 Palestinians killed in Gaza were recovered, while the body of one citizen and 5 others who sustained injuries arrived in various hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

Since the beginning of its military onslaught against the besieged Gaza Strip, on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 48,271 Palestinian citizens, most of whom were women and children, and wounded 111,688, while at least 14,000 victims remain under the ruins of bombed buildings.

It is important to mention that Israel received a large shipment of 2000 pound MK-84 bombs from the US on Sunday.

Al-Araby News reported that after 10 months of being withheld by former President, Joe Biden, the shipment was released to Israel.

The Quds News Network reported that Israeli occupation received, on Sunday, 1800 “MK-84” bombs, sent by US President, Donald Trump, revealing his perpetual complicity of the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip.
