Israeli forces stormed, on Saturday, many towns and villages in the Jenin governorate in the northern occupied West Bank, abducted four brothers and encountered fierce resistance from armed Palestinian fighters.
In the predawn hours of Saturday, Israeli soldiers invaded and ransacked the homes of the four brothers, Hammam, Issam, Hossam, and Nizam Dhiab, before abducting them from the town of Kafr Ra’i, southwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
Soldiers also invaded the nearby village of Fahma, sparking protests. Armed resistance fighters exchanged fire with the army. No injuries or arrests were reported.
On Saturday morning, the army stormed the town of Ya’bad, west of Jenin, and set up flying military roadblocks at its entrances while stopping vehicles and inspecting the identities of their occupants.
South of the city, soldiers erected a flying military roadblock at the entrance to Qabatiya town, triggering protests, while armed resistance fighters targeted the invading army.
The nearby villages of Mirka, Jarba, and Bir al-Basha were also invaded, where the army invaded and searched a barn and confiscated cell phones of residents. Resistance fighters exchanged fire with the army in Mirka.
On Saturday evening, Israeli forces invaded the villages of Rummanah and Zububa, northwest of Jenin, leading to protests near the Salem military roadblock where resistance fighters exchanged fire with the occupation forces.
The army opened fire with live rounds towards Palestinian citizens’ homes and conducted a massive search campaign, raiding homes and interrogating their inhabitants.
Southwest of the city, soldiers stormed the town of Arraba, deployed an infantry unit and conducted a search campaign.
