In yet another violation of the ceasefire terms set in January between Israel and Hamas, Israeli forces dropped a bomb from a drone in central Gaza on Monday, killing three brothers, this follows the killing of a woman by Israeli gunfire in Rafah, in southern Gaza, earlier the same day.
According to local sources, three brothers were killed and a number of citizens were injured on Monday evening, due to Israeli shelling north of Al-Bureij camp.
This follows Israel’s announcement four days ago that it would resume weaponizing starvation in Gaza by breaking from the ceasefire agreement and blocking humanitarian aid.
The Wafa news agency reported that three brothers were killed and several others were injured in an Israeli drone strike near Wadi Abu Qatrun, northeast of Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip .
They were identified as: Mahmoud, Mohammad, and Ahmad Abdullah Ahmad.
Nine bodies were recovered (five from under rubble and four newly killed), and 16 wounded were admitted to hospitals in the last day. Many victims remain trapped under debris or on roads, inaccessible to rescue teams due to ongoing Israeli attacks.
In Rafah, a Palestinian woman was shot by Israeli forces in the Tel Sultan neighborhood. Israeli military vehicles also opened fire east of Al-Fakhari town, east of Khan Younis. These violations come despite the ceasefire agreement in place since January 19, 2025.
According to Palestine Chronicle Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen announced that Israel will cut off electricity to Gaza. This decision exacerbates the suffering of 2.3 million Palestinians, as Israel’s blockade has prevented humanitarian aid from entering the Strip for nine consecutive days.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas, has reiterated its full commitment to the ceasefire agreement and expressed readiness to immediately begin negotiations for the second phase. The movement rejected attempts to pressure it while Israel evades its obligations.
Hamas stated that “threats of war and blackmail will not work, and the only path is through negotiations and adherence to the agreement.” It emphasized that Israel’s refusal to begin the second phase reveals its intent to evade and delay.
