For the 38th consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression on the city of Tulkarem and its refugee camp, and for the 25th day on the Nur Shams refugee camp, accompanied by military reinforcements, a tight siege, and home invasions that have displaced dozens of families.
Media sources reported that Israeli forces brought in military reinforcements, including more armored vehicles and a fuel tanker, from the “Nitzanei Oz” military roadblock west of the city.
The vehicles were stationed around Thabet Thabet Square, Haddadin Street, and the Old Garages Street, before the soldiers stormed and ransacked currency exchange shops in these areas.
Israeli military vehicles and bulldozers were positioned in front of residential buildings they had seized on Nablus Street, which connects the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps.
Infantry units spread out on the main roads leading to the camps, obstructing traffic, stopping and searching dozens of cars, and inspecting the ID cards of many Palestinians while interrogating them.
The occupation soldiers continue to impose a siege on the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, preventing entry and exit, deploying foot patrols around and inside the neighborhoods, storming homes, vandalizing and destroying their contents, interrogating residents, and forcing them to leave.
In the Nur Shams refugee camp, infantry soldiers spread out at the entrances and around the cemetery, invading homes and forcing families in the Jabal al-Nasr neighborhood to evacuate their homes.
They also invaded and ransacked homes in the al-Mahjar and al-Madaris neighborhoods, belonging to the Saffouri and Hassan families, and detained the Fahmawi family inside their home for a long time while searching and ransacking the property.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Tulkarem reported that its teams are present in front of the Nur Shams refugee camp to assist and support residents after they were forced out of their homes.
In a related context, a large Israeli military force invaded the village of Izbat al-Jarad, east of Tulkarem, deploying infantry units in its streets, invading several homes, and searching and ransacking them.
Early this morning, Israeli forces abducted three young men from the Tulkarem camp while they were in the Thannaba suburb. They were identified as Amro Abu Tahoun, Mohammad Matar, and Aysar Matar.
Later, Israeli forces stormed residential buildings in Tulkarem and the Thannaba suburb, turning several of them into military outposts after expelling their families.
The Tulkarem refugee camp is witnessing a heavy presence of infantry soldiers in all its neighborhoods, who occupied homes whose residents were forcibly displaced and turned them into military outposts. This is accompanied by extensive bulldozing of the destroyed infrastructure on Agency Street.
Eyewitnesses reported that the refugee camp is experiencing movements of Israeli forces and bulldozers, accompanied by heavy gunfire and flashbangs to intimidate and terrorize the remaining residents in their homes.
The ongoing aggression on the city and its refugee camps has resulted in the killing of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant.
Additionally, dozens have been injured and abducted, and more than 9,000 residents have been forcibly displaced from the Nur Shams refugee camp, and 12,000 from the Tulkarem refugee camp.
The aggression has also led to the demolition and destruction of more than 25 homes in the camps in recent days under the pretext of creating roads through their neighborhoods.
On Tuesday, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian young man after an alleged stabbing attempt near the town of Burqa, northwest of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
