On Thursday, Israeli forces assassinated a Palestinian man and ran over his body during a military incursion into the village of Rummanah, northwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.


Media sources reported that occupation forces executed the citizen, Ahmed Ali Al-Amur, 54, at dawn Thursday, after shooting him with live rounds, and proceeding to run over his body with a military vehicle, in Rummanah village.

The sources added that Israeli soldiers confiscated the body of the slain man and abducted his sons whose identities were not known at the time of writing this report.

During the large-scale arrest campaign, occupation forces invaded and ransacked several citizens’ homes in the village, while deploying sharpshooters in the area.

In the evening, the army once again stormed Rummanah village, and invaded the home of the slain man, amid the overhead flight of reconnaissance drones and the deployment of sharpshooters on its rooftop.

The Times of Israel reported that the slain Al-Amur allegedly stabbed and moderately wounded an Israeli soldier in Rummanah, without providing his identity.

The ARAB 48 news website reported that the army imposed a curfew on the village following the incident.


In related news, the army stormed the Al-Hadaf neighborhood in Jenin city at dawn Thursday, invaded several citizens’ homes and detained many Palestinian young men.

Media sources said that a large army force, consisting of several infantry units stormed and ransacked many homes in the Al-Hadaf neighborhood, amid the overhead flight of reconnaissance drones and the sound of heavy gun fire.

The sources added that occupation soldiers detained a large number of citizens during the incursion, subjecting them to field interrogation; no arrests were reported.

Since the beginning of the year, Israeli forces and colonizers have killed 173 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 31 children and 6 women.

Occupation forces have killed 60 Palestinians in Jenin, 31 in Nablus, 26 in Tubas, 17 in Tulkarem, 11 in Hebron, 9 in Ramallah, 6 in Bethlehem, 5 in Jerusalem, 4 in Qalqilia, 3 in Salfit, and 1 in Jericho.

In the Gaza Strip, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 57,762, including women and children, while at least 137,656 Palestinians have sustained various degrees of injuries as a result of Israel’s military onslaught.

According to Rule 113 of International Humanitarian Law (IHL); “Each party to the conflict must take all possible measures to prevent the dead from being despoiled. Mutilation of dead bodies is prohibited.”
