At least two Palestinians were injured by Israeli occupation forces during the weekly anti-settlements protest in the village of Kufur Qaddoum in the northern West Bank, local sources said.
Morad Eshteiwi, coordinator of the popular resistance in the village, told WAFA that Israeli soldiers attacked the protesters by rubber-coated rounds and chased some of them, injuring two protesters by rubber-coated rounds. The two were treated at the scene.
For many years, villagers from Kufur Qaddoum and neighboring villages have been organizing a nonviolent protest on Fridays against illegal Israeli settlements, and to call on Israeli authorities to reopen the village’s main road, which has been sealed by the occupation authorities since 2002.
