Israeli soldiers invaded the city of Jericho and its two refugee camps in the Jordan Valley, in addition to Beita town and Qaryout village near Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, in the predawn hours of Saturday.

On Saturday before dawn, Israeli forces invaded the city of Jericho in the Jordan Valley, in addition to the Ein al-Sultan refugee camp, northwest of the city and the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp to the southwest.

Media sources said that several military vehicles stormed the city and the its camps, broke into homes in both camps and roamed the streets, sparking protests.


Armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading army, while soldiers fired live rounds and concussion grenades without causing any casualties.


Meanwhile the Israeli army also stormed, before dawn Saturday, the town of Beita, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank, and the village of Qaryout, to the southeast.

Several military vehicles invaded Beita town, touring the streets of several neighborhoods, storming and ransacking citizens’ homes in a wide-scale search campaign.

Many armored military vehicles stormed Qaryout village and roamed the streets, while soldiers invaded a home in the village, searching and ransacking it.
