Israeli forces shot and killed, at dawn Monday, a Palestinian child, injured a young man and, abducted seven citizens, in the Al-Amari refugee camp in the central West Bank city of Ramallah.

Before dawn on Monday, a large army force invaded the Al-Amari refugee camp in Ramallah, sparking protests among local Palestinians.

Armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the attacking army, while soldiers fired many live rounds at those who resisted the incursion.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced, on Monday morning, the death of the child, Mustafa Abu Shalbak, 16, a resident of the Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem.

Media sources added that soldiers shot the child in the neck and chest with live ammunition before he was transported to the Palestine Medical Complex.

Doctors at the hospital in Ramallah pronounced that the child had succumbed to his wounds, and that a young man also sustained a gunshot wound in the foot.

Palestine TV published a video showing a female soldier bleeding after being shot, and a possible second injury among occupation forces.



It is not clear whether the soldiers were shot by resistance fighters or by other soldiers.

After storming the camp for several hours, large numbers of soldiers stationed at the main entrance to the camp.

In related news, the army abducted seven Palestinian young men, including a former prisoner, during its invasion of the Al-Amari camp.

Soldiers stormed and searched the homes of Amer Shaheen, 38, Anan Abu Al-Arayes, 26, Ahmed Marwan, 28, Jibreen Rummana, 46, Rajab Ghanem, 28, Muhammad Al-Atout, 28, and former prisoner, Nader Abbas, before abducting them.

In the afternoon, hundreds of Palestinian citizens gathered in front of the Palestine Medical Complex in the city of Ramallah.

The funeral procession continued on to the home of the slain child in the Qalandia refugee camp, where loved ones said their final farewells.

Mourners roamed the streets of the camp carrying the body wrapped in a Palestinian flag and repeating slogans of redemption.



The body was then transported to the mosque in the Qalandia camp where mourners performed the funeral prayer before laying the body to rest in the camp’s cemetery.

Israeli forces have killed 420 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza strip, on October 7, 2023.

In the devastated Gaza Strip, Israeli bombing has killed 30,534 Palestinians, including 13,430 children and 8,900 women, and injured 71,920 in the past 150 days.
