Israeli forces shot and killed, on Wednesday, a Palestinian child and abducted four young men in the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.

In the afternoon, the Israeli army invaded Azzun town, east of Qalqilia, triggering protests among local Palestinian youths, while soldiers opened fire with live rounds.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of the child, Fadi Saeed Suleiman, 14, after he was shot in the heart with live ammunition.

Initially the child was deemed in critical condition, and later was pronounced deceased as a result of the gunshot wound.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces abducted Sajid Khaled Suwaidan, Mamoun Akram Suwaidan, Muhammad Rafi’ Qatish, and Amr Abu Haniyeh during the incursion.


In the evening, large crowds of Palestinians gathered in front of Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital in Qalqilia, before a convoy of vehicles traveled to the slain child’s family home in Azzun.

Loved ones said their final goodbyes before mourners performed the funeral prayer over the body at the Grand Azoun Mosque, before burying him in the town’s cemetery.

In related news, soldiers erected military roadblocks at the western entrance to Azzun town, near the village of Izbat at-Tabib, and the village Hajjah, northeast of Qalqilia.

Soldiers impeded citizens’ movement between towns and villages, causing a traffic crisis.

Israeli forces killed a Palestinian young man and injured seven others, before dawn Wednesday, in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

In the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces have killed at least 29,313 Palestinians, and injured at least 69,333, mostly women and children, since October 7, 2023.
