On Tuesday, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian young man at the “Mazmuriyeh” military roadblock, south of occupied Jerusalem, under unclear circumstances.

Israeli forces shot and killed, on Tuesday afternoon, a Palestinian young man at the “Mazmuriyeh” military roadblock, south of occupied Jerusalem, separating the Jerusalem and Bethlehem governorates.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of Nizar Mahmoud Abdel Muti Hassasna, 34, from the town of Al-Ubaidiya in the southern West Bank Bethlehem Governorate.

Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) received the body of the slain young man and transported the body to the Al-Hussein Hospital in Beit Jala.

Soldiers carried out an extrajudicial execution against the young man, claiming that lacked a permit to be inside of Israel.

Israeli media said that the killing of the young man, whom they deemed an “illegitimate resident” occurred under the pretext that he attempted to pass through the military roadblock into Israel without an Israeli issued permit.

This is a developing story, any updates will be added as new information becomes available.
