In a massive military assault, the Israeli forces killed four Palestinian young men after firing a missile at them, and injuring others, including one seriously in the northern West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp.
During the protracted attack, the army bombed a home and a commercial shop in the refugee camp, and abducted six young men in the city.
In the predawn hours of Tuesday, a large army force accompanied by several military bulldozers invaded the city of Jenin from Jenin-Nazareth Street.
Sirens wailed through the loudspeakers of mosques throughout the city, while military vehicles were deployed heavily in various streets of the city and in the vicinity of the Jenin refugee camp.
The army positioned sharpshooters on the rooftops of many residential buildings in several neighborhoods in the city, amid the intense flight of reconnaissance drones.
According to Wissam Bakr, the director of the Jenin Governmental Hospital, four Palestinian young men were killed when a military drone fired a missile directly at them in the Sibat neighborhood of the city.
The slain young men were identified as Rafiq Al-Dabbous, Mahmoud Abu Srour, Bakr Zakarneh, and Thaer Abu Al-Tin, 18, and seriously injured at least one other young man.
Bakr added that occupation aircraft dropped smoke bombs in the yard of the Jenin Governmental Hospital, and preventing the transfer of the slain teen, Abu Al-Tin, forcing ambulance crews to transfer him to the health center in the town of Qabatiya.
While covering the events Reuters photographer, Raneen Sawafta, sustained an inhalation injury from tear gas, while the journalist, Amr Manasra was shot in the back with a tear gas canister.
Soldiers blocked press crews from the areas witnessing home invasions in an attempt to hide the crimes of the occupation forces.
The army besieged the Ibn Sina, Jenin Governmental, in the city, and the Al-Razi hospital in the Jenin refugee camp, and obstructed the work ambulances while they were transporting the dead and injured young men.
In the Jenin refugee camp, armed drone fired a missile at a house and a commercial store, while armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged heavy fire with the army and targeted armored vehicles with crude explosive devices.
Meanwhile the army stormed the village of Al-Jalama, sparking protests and armed resistance, in addition to the exchange of fire in with the towns of Silat al-Harithiya and Al-Yamoun in the Jenin governorate.
The army conducted a wide-scale search campaign against the Basateen, Eastern, Dabbous, Al-Marah, Talat Al-Ghubaz, Abu Dhahir, Al-Bayader neighborhoods in the city of Jenin.
At least six young men were abducted from their homes. They were identified as Jalal Al-Sous, Bahaa and Diaa Abu Zaid, Majd Arabawi, Yassin Sahi Hanoun, Alaa Musabah Abu Al-Haija, and Muhannad Abu Al-Haija.
It was added that the father of slain Zakarneh suffered a stroke when he was informed of the execution of his son.
Zakarneh is the father of the slain Sidqi Zakarneh, who was killed by the army on December 8, 2022.
Military bulldozers caused major destruction of infrastructure, tore up streets in the Al-Saha area of the Jenin camp, and destroyed electricity generators in the city and its camp.
Furthermore, the armored bulldozers demolished roundabouts dedicated to slain Palestinian men, in the Jabriyat, Basateen, and Al-Marah neighborhoods in the city.
