Israeli forces shot and killed and Palestinian young man on Wednesday afternoon, bombed a home, and abducted 68 citizens during its continued aggression against the northern West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp.

According to Fawaz Hammad, the director of Al-Razi Hospital, the young man, Qassam Bassem Zidan, 29, was killed after being shot in the head by an Israeli sniper.

The army initially invaded the city of Jenin and its camp in the predawn hours of Tuesday and has carried out a brutal campaign of bombing and arrests in various part of the city and the refugee camp.

Since the beginning of the incursion, the occupation army has killed seven Palestinians, injured others, bombed several homes and abducted an unconfirmed number of Palestinians.

In the refugee camp, an armed drone fired a missile into a house in the Al-Damj neighborhood in Jenin camp and stormed several mosques in the camp and used their loudspeakers to sing.

This provocative action sparked armed resistance fighters in an exchange of gunfire with the occupation forces, while residents amplified sirens on the loudspeakers in several mosques.

Sources added that soldiers shot a young man in the foot with live ammunition, and abducted at least 68 Palestinian citizens, while the arrest campaign is ongoing.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that the situation in the Jenin camp is deteriorating as a result of the continued incursion, adding that the army is obstructing the arrival of ambulance crews to the sick and injured citizens in the camp.

The army continues to besiege the Jenin Governmental Hospital, and fired tear gas canisters towards Al-Shifa Hospital in the city of Jenin.

The Al-Qassam Brigades resistance faction in the Jenin refugee camp announced today that,“We, along with the resistance factions, targeted the vehicles of the occupation forces in the camp, which led to casualties among its ranks.”

They added that, “The camp will remain a thorn in the side of the occupation, and we will avenge the martyrs of Jenin and Gaza, and our battle will continue until it is defeated.”

The army admitted that four Israeli soldiers were injured as a result of the detonation of explosive devices and clashes with Palestinian resistance fighters.
