Israeli forces shot, on Monday, one Palestinian young man, and caused dozens of youths to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation, along the separation fence, on the eastern border of the besieged Gaza Strip.
Many Palestinian young men and children gathered along the security fence, east of Gaza City and Jabalia in northern Gaza, while others gathered east of Rafah and Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian youths burned rubber tires, raised the Palestinian flag, and detonated at least one crude explosive device on the security fence.
Media sources said that Israeli soldiers, positioned in military barracks and armored military vehicles, fired many live rounds and tear gas canisters at Palestinian demonstrators.
Israeli forces shot one young man the foot with live ammunition, while others sustained inhalation injuries from tear gas exposure. All injuries were treated at the scene by local medics.
Palestinian youths in Gaza have been gathering along various points along the eastern border every day since September 13, to protest the inhumane siege imposed on the Gaza Strip since 2007.
