On Thursday, Israeli forces shot two Palestinians in the town of Aqraba town, south of Nablus, and for the second consecutive day, the army continued its large-scale incursion into the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank.
Paramedic, Yousef Deiryeh, told the WAFA News Agency that the Aqraba Municipality ambulance service transported two citizens who sustained gunshot wounds to the hospital, after Israeli soldiers targeted their vehicle.
Deiryeh added that Palestinians confronted the invading army who opened fire with live rounds and tear gas canisters at citizens, causing a number of them to sustain the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.
Meanwhile, the army continued its large-scale incursion into the Balata refugee camp for the second consecutive day, besieging the camp, storming citizens’ homes, assaulting and interrogating citizens.
According to Amid Ahmad, the director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) emergency and ambulance center in Nablus, reported that five citizens, including a young woman, suffered various injuries after Israeli forces assaulted them.
Media sources said that infantry units deployed throughout the Balata refugee camp invaded citizens’ homes, detaining many young men and subjecting them to field interrogation.
The sources added that the army continues to prevent citizens from entering or leaving the camp, in addition to occupying a number of homes and using them as military barracks.
The PRCS reported that its ambulance crews treated 17 citizens who suffered bruises from assault by occupation soldiers, adding that soldiers detained one of its crews in the camp.
Furthermore, Israeli forces invaded several neighborhoods in Nablus city, at dawn Thursday, and stormed and searched the home of the citizen, Mamoun Al-Masry, in the Ras Al-Ain neighborhood.
