Qalandia Refugee Camp

Tense confrontations between local Palestinian civilians and Israeli soldiers at Qalandia refugee camp, between Jerusalem and Ramallah, and Al-‘Arroub refugee camp south of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, on Monday.

QNN reporters said that Israeli forces closed roads in Al Matar neighborhood, and Kafr ‘Aqab, while the Israeli municipality, backed by the army, arbitrarily imposed fines on shops in the neighborhoods.

Israeli soldiers stormed Qalandia camp, and heavily fired concussion grenades and tear-gas canisters at the Palestinians resisting the invasion, causing suffocation cases.

In the Al-‘Arroub camp, soldiers stormed the camp fired tera-gas and concussion grenades when they encountered fierce resistance by Palestinian civilians. No injuries were reported.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Association, the army arrested Obaida Titi and Islam Jawabreh after storming their homes in Al-Al-‘Arroub refugee camp.
