Israeli navy ships attacked, earlier Sunday, several Palestinian fishing boats in Gaza waters, near Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the besieged coastal region, and abducted two fishermen.
The navy fired many live rounds at several Palestinian fishing boats, and abducted two siblings, identified as Shafiq Sultan and his brother Sa’adi.
The two fishers, and their boat, were taken to the Ashdod Port; eyewitnesses said the navy also fired many live rounds at fishing boats in the southern and northern parts of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli violations against Gaza fishermen, farmers and workers, in different parts of the coastal region, are recurrent, and have led to dozens of abductions, in addition to casualties, including several fatalities.
