Israeli occupation police abducted, on Friday, two Palestinians, including a woman, after assaulting them at the Bab al-Asbat (Lions Gate), one of the main gates to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem.
Photos and videos of the scene shows a heavy deployment of occupation police pushing and assaulting Muslim worshipers trying to enter the mosque to perform prayers.
Women were seen being shoved and pushed to the ground, and a young woman fainted after being assaulted by several Israeli police officers, before they abducted her.
Palestinian men were seen being harassed and abused, while at least one young man was abducted.
The identifications of the abducted worshipers were not available at the time of writing this report.
Police harassed Palestinian worshipers, checked their ID cards, and restricted access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, considered the third holiest site in Islam.
Many worshipers were forced to pray on the streets in the Ras al-Amud neighborhood, after being denied entry to the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
