On Friday, a group of fanatic illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded Palestinian lands near Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, and set up a new colonialist outpost.

Yacoub Oweiss, the head of the Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiya Village Council, said the colonizers set up six mobile homes on the lands of the Ras Al-Mo’arrajat area, south of the village.

Oweiss added that more colonizers gathered in the area to help create the new outpost on the stolen Palestinian lands.

He also said that, a year ago, the colonizers installed an outpost in the same area, but the army later removed it after various appeals filed by the Palestinians through human rights groups.

It is worth mentioning that, on Thursday night, the Israeli army closed one of the entrances of the village, near the Al-Lubban School, with sand mounds, after it previously closed all other streets, forcing the Palestinians to take the Sawiya and Salfit roads at a significant distance to leave the village or return to it.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
