Israeli soldiers abducted, on Wednesday morning, a young Palestinian man from ‘Aneen village, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and detained many Palestinians at a roadblock the army installed on the main road of Zabbouba village.
The Jenin office of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said the soldiers abducted Mohammad Mahmoud Yassin, near the gate of the Annexation Wall, built on villagers’ lands.
The soldiers interrogated the Palestinian at the roadblock, while inspecting his ID card, and took him to a nearby military base.
In addition, the army stopped and searched dozens of cars, and searched them, while interrogating many Palestinians and inspecting their ID cards.
The soldiers took the license plate numbers of dozens of cars, and prevented the Palestinians from entering or leaving ‘Aneen, and issue that forced the drivers to take alternative, longer and unpaved roads.
The Israeli army claimed the closure came after several Palestinians hurled stones at military vehicles, and destroyed a section of the Annexation Wall.
