Israeli soldiers abducted, Monday, eight Palestinians, and injured many others, in several parts of the occupied West Bank, after the soldiers invaded many communities, stormed and ransacked homes, and attack protesters.
In Jenin, in northern West Bank, the soldiers invaded the home of Ahmad Nabeeh Abu ar-Rob, and violently searched it, in Misilyah town, south of the city, causing property damage, before abducting the young man.
The soldiers also invaded Qabatia town, south of Jenin, and drove around its steel and alleys before withdrawing.
In the Hebron governorate, in southern West Bank, the soldiers invaded and searched many homes, abducted four Palestinians, and injured several others.
Media sources in Hebron said the soldiers invaded Za’ta area in Beit Ummar town, north of the city, and fired a barrage of gas bombs, concussion grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets at local protesters, and surrounding homes, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
During the invasion into the town, the soldiers abducted Mohammad Ahmad Abu Mariya, 32, a former political prisoner who was held by Israel for five years.
The soldiers also abducted Mo’taz Thieb al-‘Oweiwi, from his home in Hebron city, in addition to Eyad Ayman Aby Oleyyan, 18, from Yatta town, south of Hebron, and Walid Hussein Mizyin, 44, from the al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of the city.
In Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted a former political prisoner, identified as Abbas Mohammad Shehada, 22, after storming his home in the city.
The soldiers also invaded Hindaza area and the al-Mawaleh Mountain, in Bethlehem, in addition to Teqoua’ town, east of the city.
In the al-Walaja village, west of Bethlehem, the soldiers invaded Nab’at al-Hadfa area, and demolished an 80 square/meter structure, owned by Fayez Abed-Rabbo, allegedly for being built without a permit from the so-called Civil Administration Office, the administrative branch of Israel’s illegal occupation.
In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted a former political prisoner, identified as Hotheifa Bader Halabiyya, from Batn az-Zeit neighborhood in Abu Dis town, southeast of the city.
It is worth mentioning that Hotheifa is a former political prisoner who was released in December of 2019, after he held a hunger strike for 67 days.
Hotheifa, a married father of one child, was first abducted on June 10th 2018, and was slapped with three consecutive arbitrary Administrative Detention orders, holding him captive without charges or trial, and was only released after holding the extended hunger strike which ended after reaching an agreement for his release without renewing the orders.
In Jericho, in the West Bank, the soldiers invaded the home of Shaker Amara, 59, in Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, south of the city, and abducted him after ransacking the property.
The invasion into the refugee camp led to protests between several local youngsters and the soldiers, while the army fired a barrage of gas bombs and concussion grenades, in addition to rubber-coated steel bullets.
