Israeli soldiers detained Monday morning three Palestinian schoolchildren from the al-Jab’a village, south of Bethlehem, south of the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the occupied West Bank.

Thiab Masha’la, the head of the al-Jab’a Village Council, said the children were walking to their school in Surif nearby town, when the soldiers detained them.

Masha’la added that the families saw the soldiers stopping and detaining the children trying to reach their school and eventually convinced the soldiers to release them.

He also said that the soldiers frequently install sudden military roadblocks on streets used by schoolchildren and have repeatedly detained and interrogated children.
