On Wednesday night, Israeli occupation soldiers detonated homes and a warehouse in Tulkarem refugee camp, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
The warehouse, located on the ground floor of a residential building in the Al-Wakala neighborhood, caught fire, which spread to a nearby cooking gas cylinder shop, causing explosions. Residents called for help as the fire threatened surrounding homes and buildings.
Eyewitnesses reported that the soldiers prevented Palestinian Civil Defense trucks from entering the refugee camp to extinguish the fire and rescue children and women.
Tulkarem Governor Abdullah Kamil appealed to the international community for urgent action to stop the Israeli aggression against civilians in the camp, which has affected everything in the city and camp.
It is worth mentioning that the occupation forces have been attacking Tulkarem camp for the third consecutive day, deploying dozens of soldiers and vehicles, storming homes and shops, causing serious damage, and forcing residents to leave their homes.
Israeli military bulldozers have also caused significant damage to the camp’s infrastructure, including water, electricity, sewage, and communication networks, isolating it from the outside world.
Residents in the refugee camp are pleading for help, especially for the elderly, sick, children, and women, and for the provision of basic necessities amid the ongoing aggression.
Also Wednesday, Israeli forces assassinated ten Palestinian young men after occupation warplanes bombed a site in center of the town of Tammun, south of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
On Tuesday, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian young man in the Irtah suburb, south of Tulkarem, and injured three others, including a child during their military incursion into Tulkarem city and the Tulkarem refugee camp.
