Israeli soldiers injured, Friday, 435 Palestinians during protests against the illegal colonialist activities in three areas in Beita town, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Emergency Unit at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Nablus, said the soldiers injured the 435 Palestinians in Beita, Beita Junction, and Sbeih Mountain.

Jibril said that eight of the injured Palestinians were shot with live rounds and were rushed to Rafidia Hospital after suffering moderate wounds.

He added that 84 Palestinians were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets and 277 suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation in addition to 66 who suffered bruises and fractures after the soldiers attacked them with batons, while some of them suffered lacerations after falling while being chased by the army.

It is worth mentioning that the Palestinians were also demanding the army to transfer the corpse of Shadi Omar Salim (Shurafa), 41, to his family to perform a proper burial ceremony.

Shadi was killed, on Tuesday evening, when the soldiers ambushed him at the junction of the town and fired live rounds at him.

In Beit Dajan village, east of Nablus, the soldiers also attacked protesters on their lands, and injured at least ten Palestinians, including two medics, with rubber-coated steel bullets, in addition to causing many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
