On Friday, Israeli soldiers attacked the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, wounding a child and causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

Morad Eshteiwi, the Media spokesperson of the Popular Committee in Kufur Qaddoum, said many army jeeps invaded Kufur Qaddoum and attacked the protesters with rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

Many youngsters protested the invasion, burnt car tires, and hurled stones at the soldiers who fired a few live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.

Eshteiwi said the soldiers shot a child, 14, with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the back and caused dozens of Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The soldiers attacked the procession immediately after the Palestinians and international peace activists marched from the area of the local Omar Bin Al-Khattab Mosque.

The Palestinians chanted against the ongoing illegal Israeli occupation, its colonies, and the escalating violations and crimes in occupied Palestine, especially the latest killings of several Palestinians in Nablus and Jenin and the constant violations by the illegal colonizers.

Last week, Friday, the soldiers injured a Palestinian child and an international solidarity activist during the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum, east of Qalqilia, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinians have been holding weekly processions in Kufur Qaddoum for the last eighteen years, demanding the army to reopen the village’s main road the soldiers blockaded to allow easy access to the illegal colonizers driving to and from Kedumim illegal colony built on stolen Palestinian lands.
