Early Saturday morning, Israeli soldiers invaded Sebastia town, northwest of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and fired gas bombs at Palestinian protesters.
Mohammad Azem, the Mayor of Sebastia, said several army jeeps invaded the town and headed to the archaeological area, leading to protests.
Azem said the soldiers fired many gas bombs at Palestinian youngsters who protested the invasion and withdrew from the town.
The invasion came just one day after the army invaded Sebastia and headed towards the archaeological area.
It is worth mentioning that the soldiers frequently invade Sebastia to accompany groups of colonialist settlers into the archaeological area.
During these invasions, the soldiers block all Palestinian traffic, frequently storm homes, abduct Palestinians, attack protesters, and remove the Palestinian flag from the archeological area.
