On Saturday evening, Israeli soldiers invaded the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern part of the occupied West Bank and killed one Palestinian.

Media sources reported that several military vehicles invaded Nablus city and the Balata refugee camp, storming and ransacking buildings, and deploying sharp shooters on rooftops.

They added that the soldiers invaded the Telecommunications area near Balata and Al-Quds Street, east of Nablus, firing many live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at Palestinians who protested the invasions and at surrounding buildings.

Medical sources said the soldiers shot and seriously injured Ahmad Mahmoud Hashash, 42, before Palestinian medics rushed him to a hospital in Nablus, where he succumbed to his serious injuries.

On Saturday night, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced the death of the child, Laila Mohammad Ayman Al-Khatib, 2, after Israeli forces shot her in the village of Ash-Shuhada, southwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.

In related news, several Israeli military jeeps invaded the Abu Sneina neighborhood in Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, before storming the home of Akram Badawi, who was released earlier in the day as part of the ceasefire deal.

The soldiers demanded that the Palestinians leave the area and fired several live rounds and rubber-coated steel bullets, wounding a 17-year-old child with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head.

On Friday, Israeli forces assassinated two Palestinians, including a child, in the town of Qabatia, south of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, bringing the number of slain Palestinians to 14, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression against Jenin, the Jenin refugee camp, and the surrounding towns and villages, on Tuesday.

The bodies of the slain Palestinians, including the child, Mohammad Amer Zakarnah, 17, and the young man, Mohammad Ragheb Kamil, 23, were buried in the town’s cemetery after loved ones said their final goodbyes.

Also on Saturday, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death of a child, Laila Mohammad Khatib, 2.5 years of age, after Israeli soldiers shot her with a live round in the head when they invaded the Mothallath ash-Shuhada village, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

A Palestinian woman suffered fragment wounds to the head and a gunshot wound to her arm after the army surrounded a home and fired live rounds.

On Tuesday, nine Palestinians were killed, including a child, and dozens were injured, including at least three doctors, as a result of a large-scale Israeli attack on the city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp.

Israel has now killed 877 Palestinians, including 180 children, 17 women, 14 elders, 1 journalist, and two medics, in the occupied West Bank since October 7, 2023.

In addition, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian and injured at least two others, on Saturday, in the central Gaza Strip, violating the ceasefire agreement which came into effect just 6 days earlier.

The number of slain Palestinians in the coastal region has reached at least 47.283, including more than 17.841 children, and 12.298 women, and injured at least 111,166, largely children, women and elderly, since October 7, 2023.
