On Wednesday dawn, Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian who reportedly injured four Israeli officers in a ramming and stabbing attack, north of Qalqilia, in the occupied West Bank’s northwestern part.


Update: The slain Palestinian has been identified as Wahab Shbeita, 26, from Tira city near Kfar Saba in the central district.

After confirming his identity, dozens of police officers and Israeli Internal Security agent invaded his home and ransacked it.

The Israeli police said its officers set up a checkpoint looking for stolen vehicles in the area when the incident occurred, but added that Wahab’s vehicle was legal, and that what happened was a “ramming attack targeting the police.”

His family said Wahab was a quiet and introverted young man who was recently diagnosed with a psychological disorder, and added that, once they realized he left his home, they immediately called the [Israeli] police and provided them with his personal details and diagnoses, in addition to the license plates numbers of the car he was driving.

They added that, not long after contacting the police and providing them with the details, they received news that the officers killing him after “carrying out the ramming attack.”


According to Israeli media outlets, four Israeli police officers were run over by a Palestinian driver, who reportedly also attempted to stab Israeli soldiers at a nearby military roadblock, near Kochav Yair illegal colony.

They said that one officer, 24, suffered severe wounds, another officer, 46, was moderately injured and two suffered mild injuries.

In an initial statement, the Israeli police said a Palestinian driver rammed four officers near Kochav Yair, then sped toward Eyal military roadblock where he allegedly attempted to stab soldiers before he was fatally shot. The name of the slain Palestinian man is yet to be officially released.

The Israeli army said it was looking for another person who was with the Palestinian but managed to escape unharmed.

In related news, the army invaded Azzoun town, east of Qalqilia, before storming and ransacking at least one home.

Many Palestinians protested the invasion before the soldiers fired live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

Earlier Tuesday, Palestinian medical sources have confirmed that a young man succumbed to serious wounds he suffered, last Saturday, when the Israeli army invaded Qabatia town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and killed a child.

Fawwaz Hammad, the director of Ar-Razi Hospital in Jenin, confirmed the death of Rabea Faisal Zakarna, 20, from Qabatia.

Israel has now killed at least 458 Palestinians, including many children, injured at least 4.750, abducted more than 7.619, and demolished 648 structures, displacing 3985 Palestinians in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023.

In the Gaza Strip, Israel killed at least 32.916 Palestinians, and injured more than 75.494, mostly women and children, in several parts of the devastated and besieged coastal enclave since October 7, 2023.
