On Wednesday evening, Israeli soldiers seized several residential buildings in the city of Tulkarem, in the occupied West Bank’s northwestern part, and turned them into military barracks.
The soldiers invaded the Az-Zahraa building in the western neighborhood of the city, near Khadoori roundabout, and forced the residents of the apartments to leave, turning it into a military barracks.
They also invaded the western neighborhood before heading towards Jamal Abdul-Nasser Square and the Gold Market, forced the residents to leave their homes, before interrogating them while inspecting their ID cards, and searching their mobile phones.
The army deployed snipers along the sidewalks and prevented municipal crews from working on rehabilitating what the military bulldozers had destroyed two days ago in the area.
Foot patrols also spread between the alleys and houses in the eastern neighborhood and the Al-Shahed intersection, setting up snipers there.
Meanwhile, the sounds of doors being broken into were heard in the high-rise commercial buildings in the city center, with reconnaissance aircraft flying at low altitudes.
The occupation forces continue to besiege the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital and the Al-Israa Specialty Hospital, hindering the work of ambulances and medical crews, subjecting everyone entering or leaving to body searches and field interrogations.
The ongoing offensive on the city of Tulkarem and its refugee camps continues for the third consecutive day, causing extensive damage to infrastructure and public and private property, in addition to displacing citizens from their homes under the threat of weapons.
It is worth mentioning that the soldiers detonated homes and a warehouse in Tulkarem refugee camp.
