On Friday evening, Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian in the village of Anza, located south of Jenin city in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Several military vehicles stormed Anza, after which dozens of soldiers were deployed throughout its streets, closing intersections and disrupting traffic, which led to protests.

The soldiers fired live ammunition, rubber-coated steel bullets, and tear gas canisters, injuring a young man with live fire to the thigh.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the wounded man received initial treatment at the Ajja Medical Center in Ajja village, southwest of Jenin, before being transferred by medics to a hospital in Jenin.

In a related development, Israeli soldiers also invaded Al-Bireh city in the central West Bank, firing several live rounds in various neighborhoods before withdrawing.
