In al-Maghazi Camp, in central Gaza on Sunday, an Israeli airstrike hit a crowded residential zone in al-Maghazi refugee camp, killing 45 civilians, including a number of children. This was just one of dozens of Israeli airstrikes Sunday targeting Palestinian civilians all over Gaza.

According to local sources, the bombing was intensive throughout the day, hitting civilians in Beit Hanoun and northern Jabalia, an-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, Al- Boreij refugee camp, eastern Khan Younis (in the area around Al-Awda School), and central Khan Younis (Old Crescent Street).

In addition, local sources reported that the occupation artillery bombarded civilian homes east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

The sources reported that a number of wounded civilians arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital as a result of the Israeli occupation’s targeting of the Martyrs’ Roundabout in Al-Bureij Refugee Camp. Also, numerous dead and wounded arrived at the hospital as a result of Israeli bombing near the Palace of Justice, south of Gaza City.

Since the Israeli ground invasion in Gaza began on 27 October, Israeli forces have carried out field executions of Palestinian civilians on a daily basis, including numerous occasions of Palestinian families waving white flags and holding up their hands. This includes the shooting on Saturday of several pregnant women outside a maternity ward, where they were going to deliver their babies.

In the south, at least three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli bombing on the vicinity of Al Awda Schools, east of Khan Younis, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

The director of the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis said that a number of the wounded who arrived in the hospital were injured with severe and critical injuries that appeared to have been caused by internationally prohibited weapons. The medical director added that medical personnel and ambulances are unable to provide the necessary services in Gaza to treat the large number of wounded.

Civil defense crews in Gaza indicated that a large number of martyrs had their bodies decomposed due to the difficulty of reaching them, especially in Jabalia, which has been subjected to weeks of constant Israeli bombardment.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since the 7th of last October has resulted in the deaths of 20,424 citizens and the wounding of 54,036 Palestinians.

The United Nations organization, UN Woman, on Sunday issued a statement that”two mothers are killed every hour in Gaza”, adding that, “Gaza’s children are losing their only safety net, which is their parents.”
