Malta condemned Tuesday statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his intention to annex occupied West Bank land.

Malta’s Foreign Minister Carmelo Abela called the annexation of land from the occupied West Bank, including the Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea, a violation of international law.

He also stressed that a multilateral dialogue is the only way to establish peace in the Middle East, according to a statement by the Palestinian ambassador to Malta Fadi Hanania.
