On Monday, Day 14 since the resumption of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army continued to bomb and shell various parts of the destroyed, starved, and besieged Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, including many children and women.
The army fired multiple missiles at tents housing displaced families in the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, killing at least five Palestinians and wounding many, including children and women.
In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, the army fired a missile at tents of displaced families near the Technical College, west of the city, killing a woman and a girl, and causing several injuries.

Also in Khan Younis, the army fired a missile at the apartment of journalist Mohammad Saleh Bardaweel, killing him along with his wife and their children.
In Gaza City, the army fired a missile at a home belonging to the Hamada family on Jaffa Street in the Tuffah neighborhood, in the eastern part of the city, killing ten Palestinians, including three children, and wounding many others, before they were transferred to the Baptist Hospital in the city.

Lazzarini stressed the importance of always protecting civilians and ensuring accountability for violations of International Law.
On Monday, he stated on his “X” social media account that the number of aid workers killed in Gaza since the start of the war approximately a year and a half ago has risen to 408, including 280 UNRWA staff members.
He added, “Yesterday, the body of our colleague who was killed in Rafah was discovered alongside aid workers from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. They were all buried in shallow graves, a serious violation of human dignity. These individuals were humanitarian workers, whether on the frontlines or in their homes with their families. Civilians must be always protected.”
Lazzarini further remarked, “The targeting of emergency responders, journalists, or humanitarian workers, or putting them in harm’s way, constitutes a blatant disregard for international law.”
He added, “In Gaza, these killings have become alarmingly routine. This cannot be accepted as the new normal. Accountability must be ensured, and international law applies to all without exception.”
In parallel, Roland Frederik, UNRWA’s Director of Operations in the West Bank, condemned the repeated attacks targeting the agency’s headquarters in East Jerusalem, describing them as “deplorable acts that form part of a systematic incitement campaign against the agency for months.”

In a statement issued by UNRWA on Monday, Frederik noted that “UN personnel were forced to vacate the headquarters in January 2025 due to newly implemented Israeli laws targeting UNRWA’s humanitarian work amidst repeated assaults and threats.”
Frederik emphasized that the headquarters remains under the United Nations’ jurisdiction and is protected by international law. He added, “Israel, as a member of the United Nations and a party to the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations, is obligated to protect UN personnel and facilities at all times.”
