Israeli occupation forces carried out new attacks across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, in continued violations of the “ceasefire” agreement, with artillery shelling, drone strikes, and explosive demolitions targeting residential areas and tents sheltering displaced families. The renewed escalation resulted in additional fatalities and injuries amid growing warnings from international agencies of a rapidly worsening humanitarian crisis.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that hospitals received two Palestinians killed and 15 wounded during the past 24 hours, noting that ambulance crews continue to face severe difficulties reaching several affected areas due to ongoing Israeli military activity and damaged roads.
Field teams documented eight new ceasefire violations on Thursday morning, concentrated in the eastern areas of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, where Israeli artillery and armored vehicles opened fire toward civilian neighborhoods.
Medical staff at the Shifa Hospital in Gaza city confirmed that a Palestinian man was shot and killed by Israeli forces in the town of Beit Lahia, outside the zones under direct Israeli military control.
Later in the day, medical sources announced the death of Abdul‑Rahman Ziyada, who succumbed to wounds sustained in a previous Israeli strike that targeted a tent sheltering displaced families inside the Ibn Sina School west of Gaza City.
In western Gaza City, several Palestinians were injured when an Israeli drone fired a munition at the Al‑Nasr neighborhood. Another drone dropped an explosive device east of the Al‑Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, causing additional injuries.
The previous day, Wednesday, saw two Palestinians killed — including a child — and seven others wounded in nine separate ceasefire violations, including an airstrike that hit tents sheltering displaced families in the Al‑Mawasi area of Khan Younis.
Israeli forces also continued military operations in the southern Gaza Strip, with heavy artillery fire and machine‑gun bursts from armored vehicles targeting eastern Khan Younis, accompanied by low‑flying reconnaissance aircraft and naval gunfire off the coast.
In Gaza City, Israeli forces detonated residential buildings in eastern neighborhoods while military vehicles opened fire in the Zeitoun area southeast of the city.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate sharply. UNRWA warned in its most recent update that the agency’s ability to deliver aid is “on the verge of collapse” due to fuel shortages, damaged roads, and repeated Israeli restrictions on humanitarian convoys.
The agency reported that overcrowded shelters, lack of clean water, and the collapse of sanitation systems are driving the spread of disease among displaced families.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated this week that “no safe areas remain in Gaza,” noting that repeated ceasefire violations and ongoing military activity are preventing humanitarian teams from reaching large parts of the Strip.
OCHA added that thousands of families remain displaced multiple times, with many living in makeshift tents or the ruins of destroyed homes.
The UN Secretary‑General’s spokesperson reiterated that the situation in Gaza is “beyond catastrophic,” calling for full humanitarian access and urging all parties to uphold the ceasefire agreement.
Meanwhile, the Government Media Office in Gaza said local authorities remain fully prepared to hand over the administration of the Strip to a specialized national committee, stating that their continued operation aims to maintain essential services, preserve public safety, and protect civilian property.
The Ministry of Health reported that the overall death toll from the Israeli assault on Gaza has risen to 73,043 Palestinians killed and 173,417 wounded since October 7, 2023. Since the “ceasefire” took effect on October 11, the ministry has documented 1,031 Palestinians killed and 3,309 wounded, in addition to 785 bodies recovered from destroyed areas.
The ministry noted that an unknown number of victims remain under the rubble and on roadsides, as ambulance and rescue teams are still unable to reach several locations due to ongoing Israeli military restrictions.
