Israeli forces shot a Palestinian child on Thursday evening, after storming the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the southern West Bank.
Mohammad Awad, a local media activist, told the WAFA News Agency that occupation forces invaded Beit Ummar town with several military vehicles, positioning themselves in the Khallat Abu Maria neighborhood and the old post office street.
He added that soldiers were fired live rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters at citizens, and prevented worshippers from reaching the town’s Grand Mosque.
Media sources reported that soldiers shot a 17-year-old child in the leg with live ammunition and proceeded to chase him despite his injury; he was subsequently transported to the hospital by Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) ambulance crews.
In related news, occupation forces killed the young man Qusay Maher Ismail Halaika, 27, on Wednesday, after an alleged “stabbing attack” at the Tunnels military roadblock, near Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.
After shooting Halaika with live ammunition, soldiers denied him medical treatment, leaving him bleeding on the ground until he died, and proceeded to confiscate his body.
On Tuesday, the occupation army killed the young man Mohammad Rajeh Nasrallah, 20, and wounded another after invading the town of Ath-Thaheriya, southwest of Hebron in the southern West Bank.
