On Thursday evening, Israeli occupation forces detained several young men from the suburbs of Tulkarem city, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank, amidst continuous aggression on the city and its refugee camp for the eleventh consecutive day.

Eyewitnesses stated that occupation forces stormed the village of Al-Tayah, south of the city, deploying dozens of soldiers in the area around the Abu Al-Rub Mosque near the Al-Fateh building.

The sources added that the soldiers raided and searched the residential apartments, subjecting the residents to field interrogation and identity checks. Israeli soldiers also brutally assaulted one of the young men before arresting him, leaving him bleeding.

Simultaneously, occupation forces abducted five young men from the Thannaba suburb, east of Tulkarem, after storming several homes. The detainees were identified as Ibrahim Al-Balbisi, Qadri Abu Surur, Bashar Abu Sabil, Amjad Abu Hantash, and Ayman Qouzah.

Meanwhile, the army deployed additional military reinforcements of infantry and vehicles towards the city of Tulkarem and its refugee camp. They continued to besiege the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital and took over the adjacent Al-Adawiya commercial complex, transforming it into a military barrack and observation point.

The occupation forces also occupied the “Al-Burhan” building in the eastern neighborhood of the city, near the southwestern entrance of the Tulkarem camp.

They stormed several houses in the area, conducting searches and field interrogations of the residents. Eyewitnesses reported that occupation soldiers forced the building’s residents to leave at gunpoint, amidst the bitter cold, and moved their military equipment into it.

The soldiers also maintained their tight siege on the Tulkarem camp, deploying sniper teams inside houses and high-rise buildings around it, turning them into military barracks. Additionally, the soldiers invaded the town of Attil, north of Tulkarem, stormed and ransacked many homes, and patrolled the main streets connecting the villages and towns of the Al-Sha’rawiya area, reaching the Shweika suburb.

Tulkarem has been subjected to increasing military aggression and a suffocating siege imposed by Israeli occupation forces.

This has led to widespread destruction, forced displacement, and severe humanitarian crises, with many homes being demolished, and residents facing shortages of basic necessities. The situation has drawn international attention and calls for humanitarian aid and intervention.
