Gunmen kill a Palestinian security officer in the meantime a woman injured after being hit by a settler car. These stories, and more, coming up, stay tuned.

A Palestinian security officer was killed, two others injured during clashes with gunmen at the Balata refugee camp in northern West Bank city of Nablus.

According to Palestinian security forces sources undercover officers tried to ambushed a gun dealer in the camp when a gunfight broke out, as a result Officer Hassan Abu Al Haj was killed two others sustained wounds. Abu Al Haj was killed after being hit with the bullet to the head, medical sources reported.

The wanted man Ahmad Abu Hamada and another gunman were critically injured in the gunfight that lasted for 15 minutes.  Abu Hamada was apprehended by security forces and sent to hospital for treatment while the other wounded gunman escaped arrest.

Abu Hamada is wanted by the Palestinian Authority for murder, illegal weapon dealing, and attacks on Palestinian security.

Moreover, a Palestinian woman was injured on Monday afternoon after being hit by an Israeli settler car near the village of Al Sawieh in northern West Bank.

Hilwah Abu Rass, 70, was moved to a local hospital after sustaining moderate wounds when she was hit by the settler car as she was crossing the main road at the village entrance, local Palestinian sources reported. The settler fled the scene.

Eelier Israeli soldiers abducted, overnight and at dawn Monday, at least Thirteen Palestinians, including a young female student, in different parts of the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported.

The PPS in Ramallah, in central West Bank, said the soldiers abducted five Palestinians, including the young student, from several areas of the district. Furthermore, the soldiers invaded and searched homes in Jericho district, and abducted two young men.

In Bethlehem, the soldiers abducted a former political prisoner, after violently searching his home, causing excessive damage.  In addition, many army vehicles invaded the al-Jalazonerefugee camp, in Ramallah, before the soldiers searched homes and abducted two siblings. Another man was abducted by soldiers who searched homes in the northern West Bank district of Qalqilia.

In Tulkarem district, in the northern part of the West Bank, the soldiers searched homes, and abducted two Palestinians. Earlier at dawn, the soldiers invaded and searched homes in the al-‘Isawiyya town, in occupied Jerusalem, and abducted four Palestinians.

In related news, soldiers stationed across the border fence, in central Gaza, fired several live rounds at Palestinian shepherds, east of Deir al-Balah city, forcing them away.
