Israeli troops injuries a farmer in Gaza, meanwhile Israeli radical settlers set a West Bank home on fire nearly killing its residents. These stories, and more, coming up stay tuned.
A Palestinian farmers was injured, on Wednesday morning, when Israeli soldiers opened live gunfire targeting Palestinian farmlands and farmers, east of Deir al-Balah city, in Central Gaza.
Local medics rushed to the site of the Israeli attacks, and moved the wounded man to the al-Aqsa hospital, in Deir al-Balah.
The Israeli attack forced the farmers to leave their lands in fear of additional military escalation and violations. It comes as part of repeated violations and assaults targeting the Palestinians in the besieged and improvised coastal region. Such attacks also include opening fire on Palestinian fishers and their boats in Gaza territorial waters.
Elsewhere, a Palestinian couple was nearly burned alive in their beds in the town of Douma, near Nablus, after a flaming explosive was thrown into the second story window of their home while they were sleeping on Wednesday at dawn.
The attack came just days before the one-year anniversary of the horrific arson attack on the Dawabsheh family in Douma, in which an 18-month infant and his parents were burned to death, and a 4-year old child was the only survivor, with severe burns all over his body. Israeli police say they are investigating the attack, which is the third such incident since the Dawabsheh family was killed last year.
Also on Wednesday at dawn, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli soldiers kidnapped at least sixteen Palestinians, including former political prisoners, in different parts of the occupied West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem.
Moreover, Israeli soldiers, on Wednesday, uprooted olive trees in the village of Deir Istiya, Salfit governorate, under the pretext of opening a road designated for the sole use of people residing in illegal West Bank settlements.
