Earlier Monday, a young Palestinian man succumbed to serious wounds he suffered ten days ago after the Israeli army fired a missile at a car, killing four Palestinians, in Tubas, in the occupied West Bank’s northeastern part.

Medical sources reported that Saif Mithqal Abu Dawwas, 27, succumbed to his serious injuries sustained from an Israeli airstrike on a vehicle in the city of Tubas ten days ago.

They added that Saif succumbed to his wounds at the Intensive Care Unit at Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, in the northern West Bank.

The sources stated that Dawwas’s death brings the number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli airstrike to six.

On September 5, the army fired a missile at a car in Tubas, killing Mohammad Zakariyya Zobeidi, 21, Ahmad Fawwaz Abu Dawwas, 22, Mohammad Awad Abu Jom’a, 30, Qussai Majdi Abdul-Razeq, 26, and Mohammad Nathmi Abu Gharra, 22.

It is worth mentioning that Mohammad Zobeidi is the son of the imprisoned leader of the Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of the Fateh movement, Zakariyya Zobeidi, who was one of six detainees who escaped from the heavily fortified Gilboa prison and were captured a week later.

In May of 2022, Zakariyya’s brother, Daoud Mohammad Zobeidi, 40, was killed by Israeli soldiers during an invasion of Jenin refugee camp.

The Factional Coordination Committee in Tubas mourned Dawwas and announced a general strike and mourning.

The Tubas governorate has been subjected to several consecutive incursions coinciding with the Israeli aggression on the northern West Bank since Wednesday, August 28th, resulting in the killing of 17 citizens.
