Israeli soldiers shot and injured, on Tuesday, a young Palestinian woman near the Qalandia terminal, north of occupied East Jerusalem, after she reportedly ran rewards them.
Israeli TV Channel 10 said the young woman, only 18 years of age, rushed towards the terminal and that the soldiers shot her after she failed to heed to their orders to stop.
She was apparently shot in the lower part of her body, and was seen laying on the ground while still moving her limbs.
Israeli soldiers and police officers gathered around the wounded young man while pointing their guns on the Palestinians, forcing them to leave the immediate area.
Israeli Ynet News said the soldiers “shot the woman after she ran at them,’’ and added that a search of her body revealed she was not armed.
It is worth mentioning that the Qalandia Media Center has reported that the young woman has been identified as Raghad Sho’ani, a student of Birzeit University.
