On Friday, a Palestinian young man succumbed to previous wounds inflicted on him by Israeli forces in January 2024 in the town of Arraba, southwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
According to medical sources at the Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, the young man, Yamen Ahmad Asfour, 19, died as a result of a live gunshot wound he sustained on January 13, 2024.
In the evening, Palestinians gathered at the slain man’s family home in the town of Arraba, where his family members said their final goodbyes.
After the evening prayer, the mourners performed the funeral prayer over the slain man’s body and buried him in the town’s cemetery.
Israeli forces have now killed 577 Palestinian civilians, including 140 children, and injured more than 5,350 others, in various regions of the occupied West Bank, since the beginning of the military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
