A new joint report by a coalition of Palestinian NGOs has found that Israeli forces abducted 340 Palestinians in the month of May 2020 and brought them to military bases for imprisonment and interrogation.
In their monthly joint report, the NGOs stated that the recently imprisoned Palestinians include 25 children and 10 women.
The joint report was issued by the Committee of Prisoners and Former Prisoners, the Palestinian Prisoners Association, and Addameer.
The report found that Israeli forces abducted 162 Palestinians in Jerusalem, 17 in Ramallah, 41 in Hebron, 64 in Jenin, 23 in Bethlehem, 5 in Nablus, 15 in Tulkarem, 10 in Qalqilia, and three in Gaza.
The report added that the number of abductions increased in May, compared to April, despite the continued spread of Covid-19, which puts the lives of the Palestinian prisoners in danger.
The total number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails has reached 4600, including 41 women and 170 children. 380 Palestinians are under administrative detention without any charges or trials.
