On Thursday, Israeli soldiers abducted a Palestinian after a group of illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers attacked him and many other Palestinians in Yatta, east of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.
Media sources reported that a large group of colonizers invaded the Abu Shaban area, east of Yatta, and assaulted Saif Tawfiq Awad along with many shepherds.
They added that Israeli soldiers, who also invaded the area, abducted Awad before taking him to a nearby military base.
The colonizers came from a nearby illegal colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands in the area.
In related news, Israeli soldiers invaded the Um Rokba area in the Al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, closed and isolated several streets, and then invaded and ransacked the homes of Baha’ Suleiman ‘Ashour and his brother Mohammad.
In Nablus, in the northern West Bank, Israeli paramilitary colonizers attacked Palestinian homes in Beita town, south of the city.
The colonizers came from a recently installed colonialist outpost on stolen Palestinian land, before attacking homes and causing damage to several cars.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
