Israeli soldiers injured, Friday, one Palestinian and caused many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation, during the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum village, east of Qalqilia, in northern West Bank.
The Palestinians marched from the center of the village while chanting against the illegal Israeli occupation, its colonies, and escalating violations. This procession also marked the Palestinian Prisoners’ Day.
Eyewitnesses said the soldiers attacked the procession with gas bombs, concussion grenades, rubber-coated steel bullets, and sponge-tipped bullets.
Medical sources stated a young man, 25 years of age, was shot with a sponge-tipped bullet, while several others suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation, before receiving treatment by local medics.
The Palestinians in Kufur Qaddoum hold weekly processions against the closure of the village’s main road, which was blockaded by the army 18 years ago to enable easy access to the illegal colonialist settlers while driving to and from Kidumim colony, which was installed on stolen Palestinian lands.
In related news, the soldiers injured three Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation, during the weekly procession in Beit Dajan village, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
