On Thursday evening, Israeli soldiers shot a young Palestinian man and abducted two in Arraba, Ya’bad, and Methaloon, near Jenin in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
Media sources said several army jeeps invaded Arraba town, southwest of Jenin, and fired many live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at Palestinians and their homes.
The sources added that the soldiers shot a young man, 23, with a live round in the leg before Red Crescent medics rushed him to a hospital in Jenin.
The soldiers tried to ambush and abduct several Palestinians and occupied rooftops, especially commercial buildings, to use as sniper posts, leading to protests.
Furthermore, the soldiers abducted Mahmoud Bilal Atatra from Ya’bad town, southwest of Jenin, detained and interrogated his brother for a few hours after stopping them at a sudden military roadblock near the town.
The soldiers also abducted Ayham Luay No’eirat from Methaloon town, south of Jenin, after stopping him at a military roadblock near Tubas in the northeastern West Bank.
In related news, the soldiers installed a roadblock on the main road leading to Ta’nak and Kafr Dan towns.
The army intensified the strict measures on various roadblocks, south and west of Jenin, before searching dozens of cars and interrogating the Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
