A Palestinian man was injured early Friday after Israeli forces invaded the town of ar‑Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank, and opened fire near the Annexation Wall.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated that its crews in Ramallah treated a young man who was shot with live ammunition in the thigh near the Annexation Wall in ar‑Ram before transferring him to hospital.

According to the Jerusalem Governorate, more than 70 confirmed injuries were documented in 2025 among Palestinian workers in ar‑Ram and its surrounding areas.

Most were shot with live rounds or rubber‑coated steel bullets as Israeli forces repeatedly targeted workers attempting to reach their workplaces, with the majority of injuries concentrated in the lower limbs, indicating deliberate targeting intended to cause long‑term disability.

The Governorate noted that the actual number of injuries is likely far higher, as many workers avoid reporting their wounds out of fear of Israeli reprisals.

In 2025, eight Palestinians were killed in the ar‑Ram area after being directly shot by Israeli forces, while hundreds of residents suffered tear‑gas inhalation when soldiers fired gas canisters between homes.

On Friday evening, a Palestinian man was injured after Israeli forces invaded the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, firing live ammunition and tear gas and triggering confrontations with local residents.
