Israeli soldiers shot, late on Thursday at night, three Palestinian children, including one who suffered a serious gunshot wound to the head, at the al-Jalama military roadblock, northeast of Jenin, in northern West Bank.

Local sources said the soldiers, stationed at the roadblock, fired many live rounds at a Palestinian car while trying to cross, and injured the three children.

Medical sources stated the soldiers shot Mahmoud Ahmad Halajia, 15, with a live round in his head, and suffered life-threatening wounds before he was rushed by Palestinian medics to the Nablus governmental hospital.

They said the soldiers also shot and moderately injured Taha Shadi as-Summan, 16, with a life round in his back, in addition to Mahmoud Ahmad Mousa Halajia, 15; the two were rushed to Khalil Suleiman governmental hospital in Jenin.

In addition, the soldiers invaded Jenin city, especially the Industrial Zone and its surrounding area, searched lands, and property.

The Israeli army claimed that an improvised explosive was hurled from a passing vehicle at the military roadblock before the soldiers opened fire and injured several Palestinians who fled the scene.
