Updated: Israeli occupation forces carried out widespread invasions across the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem on Sunday, breaking into homes, injuring several Palestinians, and abducting others during a series of military operations that extended from the northern to the southern districts.
Several Israeli military vehicles invaded the town of Attil, north of Tulkarem in northwestern West Bank, searched homes and abducted Bassem Younis.
In the village of Douma, southeast of Nablus in the northern West Bank, two siblings were injured at dawn when Israeli forces invaded the community and broke into their family home.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its medics treated a 27‑year‑old man who was shot with live ammunition in the thigh, and a 28‑year‑old woman who was struck in the face by bullet fragments. Both were transported to hospital.
Local sources reported that the soldiers opened fire inside the home of their father, Bassam Dawabsha, causing injuries and extensive damage to the property.
In Nablus city, Israeli forces abducted a young woman after invading and searching her family’s home on Sufian Street.
A separate undercover unit invaded the Rafidia neighborhood and abducted two young men amid heavy gunfire.
Israeli forces also invaded the outskirts of Jenin Refugee Camp, and the nearby town of Ya’bad, west of Jenin city, in the northern West Bank.
In Azzun, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces conducted a large abduction campaign and converted a Palestinian home into a military interrogation site.
Those abducted were identified as Sari Rashad Hussein, Amro Nasser Salama, Farid Abu Haniya, Nitham Abu Haniya, Ayman Nitham Abu Haniya, Anas Nitham Abu Haniya, Amin Nitham Abu Haniya, and Mustafa Bilal ‘Anaya.
In Kafr Thulth, south of Qalqilia, the soldiers abducted Mahmoud Samih Shawahna, after storming and ransacking his home.
In occupied Jerusalem, protests erupted in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and in Shu’fat Refugee Camp, north of the city, after Israeli forces invaded the two areas, fired rubber‑coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters at residents.
Media sources said several young men hurled stones, and others threw Molotov cocktails at the invading soldiers.
In the town of Mikhmas, north of occupied Jerusalem, tensions escalated after Israeli forces closed the main junction while colonizers gathered nearby, leading to protests.
In the town of ar‑Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem, a young man was shot in the thigh by Israeli forces near the Annexation Wall. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its medics transported him to hospital.
The injury occurred during an invasion by several military patrols into different neighborhoods of the town.
In the central West Bank, Israeli soldiers invaded the village of al‑Mughayyer, northeast of Ramallah, and abducted former prisoner Ahmad Azem Na’san after storming and ransacking his home.
It is worth mentioning that Na’san is a former political prisoner who had been released by the occupation authorities on December 25, 2024, after four and a half years of imprisonment.
The soldiers also installed a flying military roadblock at the entrance of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, stopping Palestinian vehicles and inspecting identity cards, causing significant delays.
The occupation maintains nearly 1,000 military roadblocks and gates across the West Bank, fragmenting Palestinian geography and restricting movement between districts.
Earlier at dawn, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded Palestinian farmlands in Turmus Ayya and uprooted approximately 400 olive trees belonging to local farmers.
In Hebron, in the southern West Bank, Israeli military vehicles invaded the Jabal Johar area and obstructed the movement of residents.
Occupation forces also invaded several towns, including Beit Ummar and Doura, breaking into homes, vandalizing their contents, and abducting several former prisoners and young men.
Local sources added that Israeli forces also invaded multiple local election centers across the West Bank following Saturday’s municipal elections, assaulting residents and injuring at least six Palestinians during these invasions.
Israeli military operations, home invasions, abductions, and the installation of military roadblocks continue to intensify across the occupied West Bank, affecting daily life in nearly every district amid ongoing military escalation.
